In the week before our evangelism in Armenia, our advertising campaign covered the nation. Despite last minute changes to the venue, our team was resourceful and determined - more than 130 buses brought the people over the two days, running from different regions each night to give as many people as possible the chance to hear the Gospel. With more than 6000 each night crammed into the auditorium, crowded in the aisles, on the platform, in the corridors, up the stairs, in the balcony, in the kitchen and dinning room below, and outside in the courtyard. - Last year we had 5000 for one night in the stadium - this time 12,000 came across the nation! Police and secret service personal mingled in the crowds, but could find nothing to halt the meetings - which were filmed for TV and also broadcast live on the internet.
After David called the people to repent in their thousands on the opening night, and before the prayer for the sick, a tremendous black 'tornado' ripped through the town, with thunder and lightening, and hail the size of golf balls drumming furiously on the roof and beating on the cars in the street outside. When David publicly commanded - in the Name of Jesus - the storm to stop, it stopped! Following this, the healings were the amongst the swiftest and most outstanding we have seen! A man with five tumours on his head, a woman with a tumour on her face, a boy with a cancer tumour on his back - instantly, perfectly healed - and hundreds more!
Armenia, Easter 2009
Our Easter evangelism 2009 were held at a critical time for the Evangelical churches. It was absolutely remarakble that we obtained permission to hold these meetings because the government is in the process of creating new laws which would cripple the free churches.
Although we were told it was impossible to do it, thousands gathered in the central square of Stepanovan. The evangelism was a breakthrough - all the unbelievers raised their hands to repent and were then counselled (many of these attended the church on Easter Sunday).
Easter was celebrated with evangelism in Vanadzor. Because of strong religious pressure in this city, no open advertising was done - only personal invitation and word of mouth. Yet the church dared to rent a public hall - 5,000 crowded into the 4,000-seater sports arena! People from the city and surrounding villages crammed every space, every nook and every cranny! Christ was preached powerfully and was gladly received by many thousands, and His power demonstrated in miracles of healing.
The following two days were in the capital city, Yerevan. Here, because of the law prohibiting churches from renting public halls, our evangelism was held in a large church building. - But for the pastors, this was a test - they saw the power of the preaching, of the conversions, of the miracles of healing - and they believe a time is coming when God will give them tremendous faith, favour and freedom in the nation!

Our June evangelism in Armenia was one of the most amazing experiences of God's Power in action! It has shown the desperate hunger that the people have to find Christ - and that the way to revival is often through hardship. Despite last minute changes to the venue, more than 130 buses brought people from different regions each night to give as many as possible the chance to hear the Gospel. Just as in the days of Jesus, each night people were crammed into the auditorium, crowded the aisles, the platform, the corridors, the stairs, the balcony, even the kitchen and dining room below, and the courtyard outside - in total more than 12,000 came from across the nation. Mark 2:1-12 records the healing of the paralytic man who was lowered in the midst of the crowd - in Armenia, a wheelchair bound lady was healed - but because of the crowd, she was unable to make her way to the front to testify; but, so great is her healing, that in her home town the population echo the words in verse 12: 'all were amazed and glorified God, saying, "We never saw anything like this!"'
At the airport as we left, one of the pastors said, 'The hand of God was on these meetings... God wants to do something new, something greater. Before we can move up a level, it takes a tremendous effort and this is the time for that effort. We must not miss the day of God's visitation - it will not come again. David, your ministry is a gift from Heaven for us.'
