Over 12,000 attended the first night of the Georgia evangelism. Speaking from Matthew 9, David said: Rejoice, be happy - Jesus is here to bless, heal and restore. Jesus died and rose again as the demonstration of God's love for you. - He forgives your sin and gives you a place in Heaven! All the major TV channels filmed the service for their newsbulletins; while yesterday, David was the first evangelical to be interviewed on the breakfast show of the main national network.

On Thursday, David attended a film premier which focused on faith in the Soviet era. - When the organising pastor became a believer in 1979, access to Bibles was very limited in Georgia; the only available scriptures were handwritten Gospels or smuggled Bibles. One of the handwritten Bibles was written on a notepad in prison by a pastor who was jailed by the Soviets for his faith. The film also featured David's arrest and imprisonment for Bible smuggling (at the time the Bible was called anti-Soviet literature).
