'The Word of the Lord came to Jeremiah while he was shut up in the prison, saying, "Thus says the Lord, the Maker of the earth, who formed it and established it - Call unto Me and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things!" - Jeremiah 33:1-3.

Jeremiah is in a prison; the enemy is about to overthrow Jerusalem - but God tells Jeremiah to look beyond the problem to the blessing and healing which WILL come. One translation says 'take another look... I'll restore everything that was lost (v6).

Fix your eyes on the miracle, not on your suffering. Your faith is the expression of your trust in God. He says: I will not allow My faithfulness to fail, nor alter the word that is gone out from My lips. God will not lie - He will do what He says. (Psalm 89:33-35.)

Even Jesus had to look beyond His pain and suffering and focus on the prize set before Him. Your vision of the miracle has to be greater than the reality of the pain.
