I want to talk about a miracle which happened after the resurrection of Jesus, it is from Acts 3:1-10. I've got good news for you, this book which we call the Acts of the Apostles, is not finished - you and I are still writing it today! - It is the story of the Church of God through Jesus Christ; and the miracles which began 2000 years ago are still happening today. Jesus said these signs will follow those who believe, they shall lay hands on the sick and they will recover. - I want you to be the greatest, most confident believer in the world! You too can see miracles!

'Peter and John went to the Temple one afternoon to take part in the three o'clock prayer service. As they approached the Temple, a man lame from birth was being carried in. Each day he was put beside the Temple gate, the one called the Beautiful Gate, so he could beg from the people going into the Temple. When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for some money. Peter and John looked at him intently, and Peter said, "Look at us!" The lame man looked at them eagerly, expecting some money. But Peter said, "I don't have any silver or gold for you. But I'll give you what I have. In the Name of Jesus Christ, rise up and walk!" Then Peter took the lame man by the right hand and helped him up. And as he did, the man's feet and ankles were instantly healed and strengthened. He jumped up, stood on his feet, and began to walk! Then, walking, leaping, and praising God, he went into the Temple with them.'

Today is going to be full of great joy and rejoicing! I want you to be the happiest people on earth. You can be happy! The Bible is full of joy. It is full of emotion. That is why I get emotional. That is why I get excited. I want you to have the same joy this lame man had after he was healed.

What happened in this story was simple. This was immediately after the death and resurrection of Jesus. The exciting thing about the Acts of the Apostles is it shows all the wonderful things which happened after Jesus rose from the dead. The Power which we have today, the blessing that I've got - and I am going to show you how you can have what I have - all of it comes for a reason, because Jesus rose from the dead! The grave could not keep Him! On the third day, the Bible says, the Power of the Holy Spirit came into the dead body of Jesus, He broke open the tomb, the angels rolled the stone away, and He came out. Jesus is alive! And He is still alive today! What happened in this Bible story only occurred because of the miracle of the resurrection. The same Power which raised Jesus from the dead, is the same Power that resides in you, and it is this same Power which is given to those who believe to see signs and wonders: that is why Peter could confidently proclaim, "Rise and walk!"
