In February David Hathaway held a 3-day Gospel Healing Crusade advertised as ‘The Power of Faith’ – and also ministered to church leaders from Holland and Belgium on the theme ‘Possess the Land’ – at the invitation of the New Testament Church in Ijsselstein.

Our Easter crusades in Armenia were held at a critical time for the Evangelical churches. It was absolutely remarkable that we obtained permission to hold these meetings at Easter time, because the government is in the process of creating new laws which would cripple the free churches, and make the One Holy Universal Apostolic Orthodox Armenian Church the only legitimate church in Armenia.

Thousands attended the opening crusade meeting on 9 May in Volgograd, the day which celebrates the end of the Great Patriotic War (World War II) in Russia. The banner on the platform under the cross of Christ read: THIS IS YOUR VICTORY DAY.

At the beginning of June David held meetings in Poprad and Kosice Slovakia. He spoke about the power of faith in Jesus Christ. Thousands attended. Almost all the unbelievers gave their lives to Christ – including drug addicts and alcoholics – and many, including many men, were powerfully healed.

Three to four thousand attended David’s crusade meetings every night in Kharkov, and every night up to a thousand or more repented. When David spoke of God as our loving father, many openly wept with emotion.
