Word of God

Count it all joy

Count it all joy

James Bible Study Chapter 1: ‘My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing… Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.’

The importance of the Word of God

The importance of the Word of God

Hebrews Bible Study Chapter 13. 'Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and for ever. Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace… Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.’

Christ is the perfect sacrifice

Christ is the perfect sacrifice

Hebrews Bible Study Chapter 9. Christ is the mediator by which we can access the New Testament and receive the promised eternal inheritance. Where there is a testament, a will, there must also be a death, otherwise the will cannot be enacted. My wife and I had the same will. Whoever died first, would give everything to the other. Because she died, I inherited everything. Because Christ died, we inherit all that was His.

Your words contain miracles

Your words contain miracles

There are miracles in the words you speak. If you really believe what you say, you will speak – and the mountain will move! Whatever you say, if you speak with faith and authority, and don’t doubt, you will be healed, your family will be blessed, your financial burden will move – even if these things are mountains in your life! But let this be a warning – watch your tongue – the miracle is in your mouth!!

Are you in a valley?

Are you in a valley?

'The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures... Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me...' The 'valley of the shadow' is more literally translated as, where the light of the sun is cut off. I want to tell you: wherever you are, whatever your trial, no matter the problem - even if you feel the light of the sun is cut off - God will not fail you.

Built on the Rock of Christ Jesus

Built on the Rock of Christ Jesus

We must get back to the Authority of the Word of God. We have no other foundation. If you build your life on any other foundation than the Authority of the Word of God, you’re building it on sinking sand. But we, as the Word says, are built on the Rock, which is Christ Jesus.

When Truth falls

When Truth falls

In Acts 3, Peter and John were brought before the whole religious council – the High Priest, his kindred, the rulers, elders and scribes – for questioning, “By what power, by what name have you healed this lame man?” And Peter replied, “If we are being examined about this man and how he was healed, let it be known to you and to the whole of Israel that by the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth whom God raised from the dead, even by Him does this man stand, totally healed!” The religious leaders then responded, “Did we not strictly command you that you should not preach in this Name? But you have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine!” But in v29 Peter and the other Apostles answered, “We ought to obey God rather than men.” Our allegiance is to Jesus, the Son of the living God, who was raised from the dead; it is Him we must obey!

Show me Your Glory

Show me Your Glory

When is God’s Power revealed the most? – When everything is going wrong! David was not a young man when he wrote Psalm 63. He was facing enormous opposition, adversity, such a struggle, such a battle, and so often alone. So he’s saying, “O God, when I’m in the dry place, when I’m thirsty, when everything around me is barren, when the enemy is raging against me, when everything is difficult – I want to see Your Power in my extremity – as I once saw it in the Sanctuary!” When we’re threatened and suffering, THEN God reveal’s His Glory through our deliverance!

What is God's strategy?

What is God's strategy?

God always has a clear plan and strategy in everything He does. From creation to salvation, nothing has happened in heaven or earth without the foreknowledge of God. An important part of the strategy which God has for today is that He wants to show that His power is not just in heaven, but also demonstrated very powerfully on earth. I have a vision of a God who is so much bigger than you or I can ever imagine! The God of the Bible, has so much more power, is so much bigger, more glorious, more exciting than anything you could dream about! So, start dreaming, but then for God’s sake stop dreaming and start to do something! Lessons from 70 years of ministry: 'For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance.' (Part 12)
