You need more of the Holy Spirit!

You need more of the Holy Spirit! I will never be satisfied, I will always be seeking more of God, more of the Power of the Holy Spirit in my life. Every time I minister, I'm asking the Holy Spirit for a deeper understanding and revelation.

I have learnt through 70 years of ministry, that God has Power, but there is something greater, there is an authority which He has given to us. Jesus said in Luke 10.19, 'I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.' Are you living in this authority? When I was evangelising in Communist Eastern Europe, I would see how the Holy Spirit would change the hearts of these communist leaders and give us freedom to evangelise! Why did this happen? Because the whole earth must be filled with the Glory of God! Do you want to know my motivation is? Yes, it is the Holy Spirit, but I yearn to see the Glory of God, here, on earth. And I am determined to see this Glory!

We must live in the Power of the Holy Spirit! Until I see Jesus face-to-face, I shall keep reminding the Holy Spirit to fill me with Power, to get the job done! What happened on the Day of Pentecost is only a beginning. And what I am determined to see through the Power of the Holy Spirit is something greater than what happened at Pentecost.

In Hebrews 11, the famous chapter on faith, the writer is only refers to the Old Testament, before the advent of Christ, before the advent of the Holy Spirit being poured out on all flesh. Now this Power is released into the Church! That’s the challenge! God has ALREADY released that Power into the Church, INTO YOU – through the Holy Spirit! That’s the meaning of Pentecost.

What we need today is FIRE to come down! We often say of people who are very enthusiastic that they are ‘fiery’! Come on! We need to have some of that FIRE that came on the first Day of Pentecost! Look at Acts 4:33, ‘With GREAT POWER the apostles witnessed to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus!’ Look, these men were not educated, nor religious – their ONLY Power and Authority was the Holy Spirit and Jesus! We’ve got to get away from the trappings of religion – we’re surrounded by the trappings of religion – they’re worthless and meaningless. We need Jesus and the Power of the Holy Spirit. We need a renewal of this experience in the Church!
